MICROBLADING

Microblading is a relatively new natural method of filling in the eyebrow and is considered to be a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo. The procedure is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis because we are impacting color closer to the surface, the strokes appear crisp and very fine. There is no “spilling” under the skin.

This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of actual hair present. Pigments we use are formulated to match your original eyebrow color and blend perfectly into existing brow hairs. The results are a naturally flawless and fuller looking eyebrow.

It is absolutely crucial to have a touch-up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

Microblading will not give a “shaded in” appearance like when we fill out eyebrows with product, it will have fine hair strokes that will make it easier to fill them in if you'd like or to always have a beautiful, natural look.

The Procedure
Eyebrow microblading is a 2-step procedure in which pigment is implanted into the epidermis (the first layer of our skin). In the 1st step it includes a consultation (shaping the brows and deciding on the color – all done with your approval), and then the actual procedure. The entire procedure takes about 2 to 3 hours. The 2nd step is a touch-up that is scheduled 4 to 6 weeks from your initial appointment and is booked before you leave our shop. Loss of hair stroked and fading is expected and this is why any necessary touch-up is required during this time. This appointment may also take 2 hours long, depending on the amount of fading that has occurred during the healing process.

Is microblading for me?

Anyone who wants to enhance or reconnect their brows. People who plucked their eyebrows in the 90's til they never returned, those who were born with sparse eyebrows, lost their eyebrows through chemotherapy, trichotillomania, or alopecia, or simply those looking for a bolder shape.

NOTE: If you use the wax method for your eyebrows, you must wait 3 days prior to your appointment. Threading and tweezing on the same day of appointment is okay.

You are NOT a good candidate for microblading if you:

  • are allergic to Nickel

  • are on a blood thinner regimen

  • have skin irritations near the eyebrows (sunburn Psoriasis)

  • are taking sensitive medications (i.e., Retinol/Retin-A, Vitamin A - these need to be stopped at least 2 weeks before the appointment)

  • had Botox within the last 2 weeks

  • had Accutane within the last year

  • have a history of Keloid scarring

  • have auto-immune deficiencies

  • are suffering from severe acne

  • are pregnant

  • are going through chemotherapy - patients will need to check with their physician and provide a doctor's note

  • have conditions that cause you to bleed very easily (this impacts results)

  • have prior permanent makeup. This will be determined by consultation.
